What is the web tool and who is the creator?
In 2013, Evan Spiegel created a photo-sharing social network called Snapchat. The co-founder was Bobby Murphy. On Snapchat, you can edit and share photos and videos with friends that you choose. This app also allows you to set a timer limit of up to ten seconds, and then the photo will delete. How did the creator come up with the idea? Evan Spiegel studied Product Design at Stanford University when building Snapchat. Evan, Bobby Murphy, and Frank Brown had launched a program called Picaboo. After working on this, Evan wanted to design an application where photos and messages could disappear. Spiegel dropped out of college, and Murphy and him worked on this idea together. He was only 23 when he created Snapchat. What impact has the web tool had on out society? This app lets users send edited pictures to friends. But, this app allows many things that could not be done before. Like, the Snapchat users are able to choose who gets to see the picture. On other programs, everyone is allowed to see the pictures. In addition, the user can set a timer on the picture so it self distructs. Snapchat had a major impact on society with its many unique features. Bibliography

Spiegel was born in 1990 in Los Angeles. He was raised in a 2 million dollar house with two younger sisters. In 2007, his parents, who are both attorneys, divorced. He was interested in computers and snowboarding.
65 billion pictures were being shared through Snapchat since 2012. In 2014, Speigel turned down a $3 billion offer from Facebook for Snapchat. Facebook wanted to buy Snapchat because it was loosing many teen users. This is because colleges and guardians have access to their personal accounts. Snapchats pictures delete after a certain amount of time. |
